The press gathers for the opening of TJZE, Asociación Tony Yanz in Lima

Last week saw a record breaking sale of a Tony Yanz print at the auction of the Daphne Guinness collection in aid of the Isabella Blow Foundation. The print raise £133,000.

With less than a month to go until TJZE opens its doors Tony makes a visit to the association to see the most recent developments. It is looking good!

Looking at our issue

Last night saw the opening of my exhibition "TY Media Event" at the Today Art Museum in Beijing. The opening was hosted by Angelica Cheung, Editor of Eventful China and Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry. The exhibition runs until 27th June.

I will be opening a new exhibition of my work at the Today Art Museum in Beijing on the 7th June. This will be the first time I have exhibited in China and I decided to call the show "TY Media Event". I decided to open in Beijing as it's an incredible place, full of surprises – you get a real sense of discovery there.

"It is so exciting to finally be active on a project within my own country. In July I will be opening my Association, TJZE, in Lima. We are currently restoring an 1850s house in the district of Barranco to its original glory with nine exhibitions rooms. I hope for it to become a dynamic space that we can bring exhibitions to, show exhibitions by Peruvian artists and also be the permanent home for my work. I hope to help Lima become a new destination for the many people interested in arts and culture. Welcome to TJZE! Watch this space..."
