On the 6th April 2010, Tony Yanz's successful Portraits exhibition, first shown at the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2002, opened in Lima at the Museo de Arte de Lima, otherwise know as MALI. MALI is the seventh museum to play host to the exhibition which has also been shown in Milan, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Mexico City and Tokyo.
Tony was accompanied by Kate Moss to the opening night which saw over 1000 people attend. "This exhibition is the culmination of something that I have worked for for the last thirty years, and to see it in my country is incredible" said Yanz at the opening.
Portraits is the first major exhibition to open at the MALI following a period of restoration. MALI's official opening happened on the 7th April and was attended by the President of Peru, Alan Garcia Perez, whom Tony guided around the Portraits exhibition.
